For 2 servings, you will need:
2 tbs SpiceWorks Tagine Seasoning Mix
- 3 Tbs olive oil
- 1 onion
- 2 clove garlic, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- meat (chicken, beef, lamb)
- vegetables (chick peas, yams, carrots, potatoes, etc)
- green olives,
- chopped parsley,
On stovetop, heat oil in Tagine (or a heavy pot) over medium heat. Add onions, saute till opaque. Add garlic and cook for 5 minutes. Add 2 Tbs Tagine Mix, 2 tsp salt, stir to mix. Add meat pieces, cook to golden brown. Add 1 cup chicken broth, cover with lid, and cook meat in this mixture till reduced. Add vegetables, and another cup chicken broth. Cook until vegetables are tender, and sauce becomes thick.
Add chopped olives, cilantro, and parsley. Serve over cous cous.
