Original Package Instructions
The easy way to prepare perfectly seasoned fragrant Rice Pileau.  Delicious as a side dish, or all on it own. (contains 5 seasoning packets)
Perfect rice, every time!  
Rinse and drain 1 cup basmati rice in cold water.
In a saucepan, add rinsed rice to 1 3/4 cup of cold water and bring to boil.
Add 1 packet of seasoning mix and 1 Tbs margarine or butter.  Stir and cover.
Simmer 15 minutes (no peaking), then remove from heat.
Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
Fluff with fork, and serve.
If using rice cooker, simply add one packet seasoning mix to rice/water, stir, and follow normal cooker directions. 
Rice & Potato Stir Fry
A great, easy alternative to your regular rice dish 
Prepare Rice Pilau as per package instructions.
Par-boil several whole potatoes.  Remove from water, and cut into medium sized pieces.  In a heated skillet, add 2 Tbs vegetable oil, sliced onion, and the potato pieces.  Stir-fry till potatoes & onions begin to brown.
Add the cooked rice, and continue cooking.  Add a handful of frozen peas, and mix till done.
A great side dish, or even by itself.
